In 1799 Kojo is a brave fisherman on the Gold Cost of Africa. For sleeping with Chief Akaddo's favorite wife, he is sold to Captain Chase, a Yankee whaler. Once on plantation in Kingston, Jamaica, Kojo will stop at nothing to be free. He steals his love, Judith, away from her captors and against all odds sails to Boston where we become a wealthy merchant. Kojo is determined to return to Africa and create a haven for freed slaves.
