NEW this year-- We've added the REEF Division!

We are excited to announce the upcoming Blue Water Odyssey Pelagic & Reef Competition, a unique team-based multi day tournament dedicated to promoting safety through buddy diving, sustainable fishing practices, and community.

The Blue Water Odyssey and Reef Competition aims to bring together spearfishing fishing enthusiasts from across the region to compete in a friendly yet competitive environment. More importantly, it serves as a platform to educate participants and the community on the importance of responsible fishing practices and marine conservation.

There are two entry categories: Pelagic (tuna, white sea bass, yellowtail, dorado) and Reef (halibut, calico, rubber lip, and opal eye). You can take part in one or both. Sign up now!

Best tournament ever!

The shirts they gave out were to notch. I went in to collect my shirts and Natalie was there with a big smile and all of them with name tags on them . I really appreciate staff when they can recall my name which very difficult for most people. It’s i”Bob” one of the most difficult names to remember from my 58-1/2 years of experience.

Ok

Ocean conditions were tough but that is part of the game. The one area of improvement is for the raffle - I would have one raffle that includes everything and tickets are pulled for all items vs individual boxes. It makes the raffle more interesting and fun. Need more tournaments like this though and it’s a great way to bring together the spearfishing community. I would also have the winning fish shown at the award ceremony since they weren’t really seen - photos would be fun with the winning fish.
