Use a shark fin shaft-- break less wishbones & bend less shafts. Manufactures save money by cutting a notch into the shaft, but where the notch is cut becomes a weak point for the fish to bend the shaft. The notched shafts also require more expensive articulated stainless wishbones for replacement.

The Shark Fin shafts allow you to use American Style spectra wishbone bands. We prefer to use spectra because they are safer, less expensive and easy to replace.

The profile of the shark fins is thin with the end resulting in better hydrodynamics and penetration through the fish. Loading the wishbones is easier and safer as well. Each shark fin has a hole so the diver can choose which hole to attach the shooting line on.

Terrible Quality Control

I’m reviewing this shaft that came with my Hydro 2 roller gun.
Apart from the issues I had with the gun itself, the majority of my concerns are with this shaft. Expect a set of very sharp shark fins (my wishbone snapped 2 times in one week). The holes in the shark fins are also very sharp. Finally the tip is very dull, and was never “pencil point” as claimed here.
Save your money and get something else.
